Location of the Wetland
The aerial photo above, from 1998, shows the nearly 6 acre protected wetland outlined in a dashed blue line. The whole 16 acre property is outlined in yellow. The brown area at the right is the 3 acre dry land portion of the property where the owners' home is now located. The 300' long wetland viewing area is located along the curve of Kiukee Place. Parking is available on Kiukee Place. Visitors can almost always see Hawaiian Stilts, Gallinules, Coots and Herons in one visit. An informational sign at the viewing area tells visitors about the endangered birds located in the wetland. See more aerial images |
